School-wide PBIS is a multi-tiered framework for establishing the social culture and behavioral supports needed to achieve behavioral and academic outcomes for all students. Student performance and safety is heightened when our expectations are clear, consistent and presented in positive terms. To that end, discipline should be seen as instruction that corrects, molds, or perfects character and develops self-control. PBIS makes use of timely acknowledgements when students meet behavior expectations. Our Schilling Stars act as that acknowledgement, and students may redeem Schilling Stars for various incentives.
